Zomorph and Mst continus for Pain

Zomorph is used for long-term pain. Sometimes you may take different types of morphine to manage long term pain and sudden flares of pain that break through the medicine. Standard tablets are known by the brand name Sevredol .Morphine tablets and liquid work in 30 to 60 minutes but wear off after 4 to 6 hours. Slow-release morphine can take a day or two to start working but the pain relief will last for longer. How will it make me feel? When you first take morphine, you might feel sleepy or sick. Slow-release tablets are known by brand names MST Continus or Morphgesic SR.

Zomorph capsules are formulated to function effectively for 12 hours when ingested whole. If a capsule is damaged, or if the capsule’s contents are crushed or chewed, the full 12-hour dose could be quickly absorbed by your system Frequent side effects (can affect up to 1 in 10 individuals): Drowsiness (this is most probable when you begin using your capsules or when your dosage is raised, but it should subside after a few days). Xerostomia, decreased appetite (anorexia), stomach pain or discomfort. Erbrechen (übel werden)

What is MSt Continus 30 mg prolonged release?

They will be particularly useful in patients with severe persistent pain, and can be expected to provide relief for up to 12 hours, so that twice daily dosage will often be sufficient. Tablets containing 60 mg and 100 mg are also available but on a named patient basis only.

Zomorph capsules are designed to work properly over 12 hours when swallowed whole. If a capsule is broken, or the content of the capsule is crushed or chewed, the entire 12-hour dose may be absorbed rapidly into your body
